The hole in the middle is deliberately enormous. It gives a small hand somewhere to rest, and it turns the ring into a shape that can be traced with a finger before anything gets colored. Sprinkles are not drawn on, so they can be added freely or left off entirely. Two crayons finish this page: one for the icing, one for the dough. Anyone who wants nine crayons instead is also right.
